About
Welcome to the recently re-opened Halfway House Inn.

Halfway House Inn
The Halfway House Inn closed as a pub in November 2002 and was then run as a Bed & Breakfast only. We purchased the Halfway House Guest House in May 2006 and reopened as The Halfway House Inn (Freehouse) in June 2006.
The pub was originally thought to be two single storey farm cottages, later increased in size to three two-storey cottages with a further lean-to later added (currently the games room).
The Halfway House Inn has a rather tardis like quality as the interior seems so much larger than the outside! We have the main entrance leading into the lounge bar, with the snug and games rooms off to either side. From the snug you go down three steps into the dining room which in turn leads to the letting rooms (all en suite). The en suite letting rooms have French windows leading to decking and a private parking area with paddock behind the pub with extensive views toward Padstow.

Lounge Bar
The renovated pub has a delightful olde worlde feel and has all the features you would expect in an old pub – low beamed ceilings, open fireplaces with wood burning stoves and a traditional Cornish slate floor in the lounge bar.
We operate a total No Smoking policy in all bar areas, restaurant and bedrooms. In consideration of other customers and staff we ask that any smoking is limited to the smoking areas provided outside – by the Smoking Area signs only – and thank customers for their co-operation.
Children under 14 are welcome in the dining room with parental supervision. Children under 14 years of age are not allowed in the bar or games room.
We have no fruit machines or cigarette vending machines, and have music free areas as required.
We are becoming a popular venue for dining clubs, car clubs and occasionally traction engines can be seen in the car park!
